The Story Behind Rooto

In my years of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, I noticed that many students struggle to remember new vocabulary when each word is learned in isolation.

Yet Arabic connects its words through roots and patterns. Once a student recognizes a root and sees how its derived words relate, learning becomes easier and more meaningful.

Rooto brings this idea to life as a game: spin the roots machine, discover Arabic words, explore their roots and related words, and see each one in a natural context.

The goal is simple: to build vocabulary by understanding connections, not by memorizing words one by one.
